McHenry Sportsman’s Club Newsletter (September 2009)
FINANCIAL STATUS - September was a very good month and very good financially.
Major expenses for the month: $8,291.32 for 1,008 cases of targets; $2,115.06 for shells; $6,660 for 3 tons of shot;
and the lease payment of $1,500.
TRAP OPERATIONS - The Club threw 1,693 practice rounds in September which was 20% ahead of September 2008.
Target costs were $2,896 in September.
PROJECTS
- Mike Lunebach installed the interlocking steel sheets formed by Mick Schacht on the top of #1.
This appears to provide a total seal.
- Gene Higby put a new electric eye on the security light at the end of the porch.
However, the light is still not turning on.
EQUIPMENT
- The Airens Snow Blower was sold to a member.
The proceeds will be used to purchase a new Toro Snow Blower.
- We have several speakers that need to be repaired and one controller box. The voice callers are almost 10 years old and starting to show their age.
The purchase of one set of wireless voice callers is being considered.
MEMBERSHIPS - Club membership is at 302 at the end of September.
